The Taiwan Uni group with whom I went to south-west China is going to Tientsin via Beijing in July. Now after the last trip I hated all of them but this trip has suddenly become ever so tempting. I was looking for some numbers among the Chinese characters I didn't know, and the biggest was 10 000 so it may be the case that its only five hundred big ones this time. Lily sounds interested too and I can almost see myself giving in and going. It may be interesting. There's something about going to Green Island with a delegation from the Persian Gulf economical circle or something but don't quote me on that because although my Chinese has improved since January I still look for the English translations :-)
