Answers the most pointing questions in life, such as:1. did you have breakfast this morning?Indeed I did. A plain sausage McMuffin with a cheap Maccas coffee. Followed by a cheeseburger and medium fries for lunch - a good day.
2. Are you enjoying your job?Fuck yeah. Today I got sent on a mission to find a guidebook on Malawi. Noice.
3. Are you now exclusively 'seeing' Kuba?Yes.
4. Did you pay parking fine?
No.
5. If not, pay this week, please!
Waiting for my new visa debit card so I can pay for it on the net. After I have found the ticket, which is somewhere on or around Mt Desk.
6. Are you wearing sensible shoes?
I'm wearing the ultimate in pointy black office shoes. A little creased now, but it happens.
7. Have you washed your clothes in the last 7 days? if not, do it. NOW!
Yes indeed. We have our own machine and dryer now. Can wash whenever I want, no need to wait till I have three one dollar coins in my wallet.
8. Do you want this single bed anymore?
Well, I've got my nice double now. Could never go back to a single.
9. Are you talking to JAA yet?
If you are talking about THE number one hip-hop star to hit the Tamworth Country Music Festival, JAA-Ruler, yes, we are talking. I'm changing my middle name to Hoe-Bitch, in honour of him.
10. Are you still coming down here for the long weekend?
Yes indeed. But no cheating when we play Reject's Balderdash. That is just not on. And, I will come on the condition that we stay up late every night and do cool shit like embroidery and arts and crafts. We could perhaps recite a few verses of The Man from Snowy River, and teach the kids to as well. We could even call JAA-Ruler, and ask him to recite a few lines from his new hit single, "Bank yo mamma".
Thankyou to KT Boyd, for supplying me with the questions.
Hello I had a great day at work today. Was showered in praise such as "Liz you're a legend" and "Liz you're a star" etc etc... I even volunteered the breakeven analysis formula I learnt at uni on Wednesday to one of my coworkers who asked the CFO how many tours they needed to have to make a profit (or something) and then I got called a genius. Awesome. Thinking of asking for a pay rise at my 3-month review... not sure if that's too early, but I guess there's very little harm in asking, only the risk of them thinking I'm greedy. I would call it being business-minded. After all, anyone who offers someone my salary is business-minded themselves.
I saw La Vie en Rose today. I really liked it, it took me away, and I felt inspired to write my own tragic autobiography. I also felt inspired to quit smoking... Edith Piaf quit pain-killers after five years, so I think I can quit smoking. They should have rehab for nicotine junkies.
Hi we had our party last night, Kuba didn't come of course, not that I expected that he would.
It was generally a success. I had there Mel, Rose, Marcin, Regina, her Jim, Rong Rong, and Fi and two of her friends. I pashed Fi, and she said I should turn gay so she can look after me better than Kuba does :-) Arnab, Tim, Calvin, Armin, and Anthony were there too. Anthony was acting strange, not sure why, it may be because on msn the other night I saw his hoo hoo and he saw my boo boos. Other possible reasons may be: ashtray breath, my habit of going up to him and raising my eyebrows up and down like a total dickhead, or according to Vanja, he like myself is a different person in real life than he is on the net.
It's twenty to four... I should be doing some reading for un-wa. (pronouned 'Yoon-wa') Might go back to bed. I really want to go downstairs and make a hot chocolate, but it's too frickin cold.
Work has been supercool lately, 3 days of non-stop stuff to do which has been quite refreshing and I no longer spend the day trying to stay awake. Writing two news bulletins to send to people, which noone will read of course, so it feels a little bit of a waste of time especially with all that html and constant previewing etc, then sending it off to higher powers to approve etc... then editing it and sending it off as spam. But I post ads on the AFTA news bulletin aswell and which requires 2 brain cells worth of creativity, and of course, I have just been appointed compiler of the weekly office news bulletin which requires taking submissions people email to me and pasting them into a template. And if there aren't enough submissions, finding jokes or cartoons on the net and putting them in too. There's a Who Am I at the top of every one, and a few weeks ago when my coworker was the one writing them, she asked if I wanted to be it, and I was chuffed, and this week I had the pleasure of randomly asking someone else (a tour leader) who was equally chuffed about it.
Me and Kuba supposedly divorced on Friday but well nothing could be further from the truth. We practically live together now even though some nights he comes after work at like midnight and leaves when I do at 8am or even earlier. Tonight he's bringing some wine and a movie and I got some beer and it's all good.
Had a quiz for accounting today, I was supposed to study last night (as noted on my blog) and well I promised to at least peer hesitantly into my text book, and well I'm happy to announce that that never happened and I went to sleep with not an ounce of concern. And well I went fine: there were twenty multiple choice questions, I was certain about 10 of them, so I've passed, and well I have a 20% chance of getting the rest of them right (five choices per questions) which means I got at least 12 out of twenty, which is a mark of 60. Not bad. This weekend though, I'm really buckling down. I know that's what I was going to do last weekend, but this time I really mean it!
Hi dudes I've been busy at work both yesterday and today so things are looking up. Lotsa stuff ta do.
I've got like 82 friends on Facebook now. Man that thing is a frickin virus! But it's cool.
Mel and Karina came over for dinner on Sunday night. I was buggered after my big weekend.
The PREVIOUS plan:
Wake up at 9 on Saturday and study till 7.30. Sunday, wake up at 9, study all day except for lunch with LEP and dinner with the sisters.
WHAT REALLY HAPPENED:
Woke up in Kuba's bed at 8 on Saturday morning. Bought food for breakfast. Came back to my place. Cooked breakfast and ate it in the courtyard. (Very nice, I like!) Chilled out in my room till 2. Went to the beach. Got KFC. Came home for Skype conversation with George (finally got to take advantage of new webcam). Got ready for Alex's party. Got to party. Fi came and had a good time. Vanja came and had a VERY good time (LOL). I had an alright time. 3am Sunday morning, arrive back at home base oops I mean Kuba's. Went to sleep at four. Woke up at 8. Had coffee with Rose. Came back to my house with the Kubster. Went to lunch with language exchange partner. Went to see Die Hard 4 with the Kubster. Rushed home at seven to cook dinner for Mel and Karina. Ended up ordering Thai. Fucking buggered and VONB (verging on nervous breakdown). FINALLY read what I had to read for uni on Monday while in bed. Crashed out. And that was my weekend. Tonight - supposed to study for accounting quiz tomorrow. COuldn't be fucked, and it's multiple choice, but you may just catch me peering into that stupid fucking textbook perhaps once or twice while I chain smoke, check Kuba's assignment, chain smoke, eat dinner, chain smoke, bug my flatmates, have a cigarette, then maybe even go to bed.
Wish me luck!

Hey dudes I'm back. We did the presentation for class, apparently we got it all wrong, but I wouldn't have picked it either so so be it. After class I asked the teacher if I could change groups. She said I had to do the presentation again with whatever group I picked, but I protested, and she said she'd talk to the lecturer about it. I think it's fair enough to change groups if one of the members is an anti-team player. Anyway let's not get into it.
Work was good as it always is on Mondays when I have loads of stuff to do. I export sales figures to excel then delete a few columns and put it in order of highest sale etc for the week then send it off to the BDMs, (business developments managers) who work around Australia talking to travel agents. Some of the BDMs have become quite fussy about how they want their reports prepared and my supervisors are getting the shits. I don't really mind re-doing and changing certain reports because it honestly just gives me something to do instead of database updates which drive me mad. That's the job I have to do when I've got nothing else to do (which is 60% of the time). Apart from that I get other adhoc things thrown my way but I finish it all very fast and usually by 2.30 its quietened down and I'm stuck with the updating again. But the best thing about this job is that I'm not the office shit-kicker. Someone else distributes the mail, someone else hands out the faxes, and someone else does reception. This sounds really dorky, but I actually feel like part of a team. It's not heirarchical especially with the seating plan where me and my three supervisors sit in a square and offer suggestions etc to things like the design of newspapers ads and so on. On Mondays I get to flick through the travel section of SMH to find our ad then archive it and also look for a mention in the deals section.
Anyway Kubski the Teddy Bearski is here so I'll be off. Ciao!
The Group Member from HellHello all,
This weekend I had the Orjrzynskis over for dinner and got really really drunk. Next morning had breakfast with the Kubster and had a nap in his bed then came home and tried to start preparing for my group presentation tomorrow but instead had Anthony over for a while. After dropping him home Vanja, Shani and I had pizza for dinner then I had Cameron over (guy I met online.) It was weird meeting him coz I felt like we already knew each other after talking on msn for so long. Then this morning I finally did my uni work (woke up at 8 - weird) then had time to kill before a nightmarish group meeting at uni. One of the guys took total control over the assignment and didn't listen to anyone's ideas. One of the questions was to make up a marketing strategy for some company. We agreed to all work on it together but he went and wrote one anyway which we had to use. He's one of those arrogant stupid men who think they know everything. There was one in one of my classes last year. Anyway he seemed to be overly preoccupied with what areas we lived in or were buying houses in in some cases, and I think this may have something to do with the fact that he has 'always lived in Dover Heights'. I asked him where that was and he told me it was near Vaucluse. Judging people is contagious - I decided he thought he was superior because he grew up in the eastern suburbs, but only after his many questions about where everyone was from. Then throw in his arrogance and stupidity, and you've got a recipe for disaster. I felt like slitting my own throat trying to work with him for three hours. The report we had to prepare was supposed to be 1500 words - he wrote 1500 words just on his answer, and refused over and over again to make it shorter than 1000. But he did finally agree to let me read it, and then rewrite it so it was shorter, which was nice. So I went home, read it, and just deleted whole superfluous paragraphs until it was down to 1600 words. Fuck summarising it. What's worse is that we'll be doing the major 3000 word group assignment together, and I just know he is going to fuck that up too. I'm going to ask the teacher if I can change groups; I don't know which group I will join, or what I will say to my current group members. But there is no way I am working with that Moron ever again. I feel sorry for his colleagues. If I had to work with him I would quit. Last semester my groups were awesome. We were all on the same wavelength, and not one person asserted their dominance over anyone. Needless to say, they were both all-woman groups. We were all just happy and helpful and interested and aware of our status as members of a team. This guy is fucked.
Anyway I started doing the readings from Week 1 for financial accounting. So far, I know the difference between cash accounting and accrual accounting, but that's where the fairytale ends. I've got two more weeks worth of reading to do before 11pm Tuesday. For this subject, we have to prepare exercise questions every week, but the lecturer will collect it randomly only twice during the semester. I attempted half of them ready for last Wednesday, and got them all horribly wrong. Don't get me started on depreciation of machinery or whether a patent is a bloody asset or a liability. Ah well. This subject has a 15% failure rate. Yesterday was supposed to be my big day to catch up and get on top of things but no it never happened. Harry Potter ain't gonna be read for a long time methinks.
