Borrowed three Chinese movies from Blockbuster tonight hoping to come home and have a mini-Chinese movie festival. The first two were such crap. They weren't proper Chinese movies and they were an insult to the Chinese movie industry. But the third was good, it was call Red Firecracker Green Firecracker. It was supposed to be 'erotic' but there were like two scenes in which they kiss and then jump into bed, and that was all. But it took me to another place and reinforced my distorted, orientalist view of China and the Chinese.
I picked up my sexy new glasses today. Tried to politely tell the boss I was unhappy with the way they never offered me the cheapest option and after trying to deny it ever happened, therefore indicating to me that she indeed had something worth denying, suddenly became excessively defensive before demonstrating how crap the lenses I ordered were, 'especially with such a nice pair of frames'. I nearly composed a letter to OPSM, but I'll let her get away with it this time.  ¶ 22:26
